Shaw Mechanical Services Presents Treasure Portion of Charitable Partnership with The Destiny Foundation
ORLANDO, Fla., January 18, 2008 – Shaw Mechanical Services, LLC today presented a $5,000 check to The Destiny Foundation, as the first part of the mechanical services company’s three-point corporate giving program of “treasure, time and talent” announced in October of 2007.
The Shaw Mechanical Services corporate giving program includes this monetary donation, plus 80-hours of annual Paid-Volunteer-Time for employees to work at the Foundation and pro bono comprehensive maintenance service for the 72-tons of HVAC equipment at the Foundation’s 35,000-square-foot Orlando, Fla. Complex.
“We are so excited about this partnership with the Foundation that we are already planning an employee workday at the Foundation’s grocery store and thrift shop within the first quarter of the year,” David L. Shaw, president, Shaw Mechanical Services, LLC.
Shaw estimates the total donation of “treasure, time and talent” will total $15,000 this year to the food assistance program for the working poor.
The Destiny Foundation, founded in 2001 by Pastor Scott George, was created to allow the working poor to invest sweat equity in the Foundation’s grocery store and thrift shop in exchange for the ability to reduce their monthly food budget. Please visit www.battlehunger.org for more information.
Shaw Mechanical Services, LLC, www.shawmechanical.com, is a privately-held, service-based commercial mechanical contractor licensed in Florida. The Company provides service, retrofits, renovations, preventative maintenance, commissioning and installation of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, process piping, automatic temperature controls and custom climate applications for existing facilities and new construction.
