Shaw Mechanical Awarded Contract for Orange County Public Schools
ORLANDO, Fla., March 15, 2008 –Walker & Company, Inc. of Winter Park, Fla., awarded a contract to Shaw Mechanical Services, Inc. for Orange County Public Schools’ Avalon Elementary Relief School II located in East Orlando, Fla. Shaw Mechanical’s $1.8 million HVAC contract for the new 103,000-square-foot, two-story elementary school consists of the installation 400 tons of air-cooled chillers, central station VAV air handlers and a complete building automation system. The project is scheduled for completion by the opening of the 2008/2009 school year.
TLC Engineering for Architecture, Inc., Orlando, Fla. is the mechanical engineer. The architect of record is Reynolds, Smith and Hills, Inc., Orlando, Fla.
