Jennings Picks Shaw Mechanical to Cool St. Andrews Church
ORLANDO, Fla., April 25, 2008—Shaw Mechanical Services, LLC announced today the award of a new $350,000 contract with Jack Jennings & Sons, general contractors, for mechanical contracting services for construction of a new sanctuary at St. Andrews Church in Sanford, Fla. The mechanical contractor’s scope of services includes the installation of 150 tons of unitary split systems for comfort cooling and pre-conditioned outside air with programmable thermostat control. Shaw Mechanical is self-performing all aspects of the mechanical installation for the new chapel composed of piping, sheet-metal ductwork and controls. Once completed in February 2009, the 23,270-square-foot sanctuary will hold over 2,000 congregants.
Vision Architecture of Orlando, Fla., is the project architect with Eiermann Engineering, Inc. of Orlando, Fla., providing mechanical engineering.
